DYING BREEDS SHOW REEL 2015
Dying Breeds is the name I have given to a certain type of work I want to see, want to make and want to facilitate.
Although thoughts around that name stretch back many years, the idea of Dying Breeds as a platform for producing work started to form in 2014 and it was the following year that I publically presented work under that name.
2015 was HUGE with production - the quantity and quality of which is quite staggering to review.
Some of these achievements include: presenting work internationally for the first time, at the Prague Quadrennial and IMPAKT Festival Macedonia with Papaveraceae;
being honoured with the Judge's Choice Award at Tiger Dublin Fringe Festival for Object Piggy;
Receiving significant financial support for Object Piggy from the Arts Council of Ireland;
and establishing a rapidly growing aerial and performance school Creation Aerial, which founded through the running of an intensive physical training and performance programme Creción.
This is a show reel featuring clips from some of these projects.
So much more beautiful artefacts, both finished and unfinished, exist and I hope to have the opportunity to expose more, even as appropriate platforms for sharing work continue to be quite rare!
I am delighted to reveal this video now, as I start catching up with myself in 2016, and in anticipation of new exciting, artistic adventures and creations!
Many, many thanks to all who have supported my new endevours!
I am so grateful to so many people and institutions for their continued collaboration, time, cousel, funding and so forth.
